Volunteering at Citizens Advice Tunbridge Wells & District
We are always looking for new volunteers to join our warm and supportive team but we currently need volunteers more than ever. With food and fuel prices continuing to rise and the cut in Universal Credit we have seen a surge in the number of people living in Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding villages needing our help. We want to ensure we are able to be there for all those that need us. We are therefore looking to recruit 25 additional volunteers. Whether you have just finished your education, are on a career break, retiring from your career or simply have some time to spare, we would love to have you on our team.
We are particularly keen to recruit new advisers, these are the people who help our clients to overcome their challenges by looking at their problems holistically. In order to ensure all our clients receive the same level of professional support, we run a thorough training programme and every volunteer is supported by their supervisor. We request that all our volunteer advisers dedicate a minimum of one day a week to assist us.
Additionally we need people to assist with admin, social media, fundraising and general office tasks. Almost all of our roles can be done remotely.
A huge thank you to all our volunteers past and present whose generosity in donating their time have enabled us to help thousands of people living in our community. Without our volunteers we simply wouldn’t be able to make the difference we do.
